Submissions
must adhere to quality guidelines specified below.

Submissions close if we reach 25 submissions.

Once your work is submitted to the group's gallery,
you have three days to constructively comment on another piece submitted in that period. Paste a link to your comment in the current blog. Failure to do so will result in your deviation being removed from the gallery.
Quality Guidelines:
Only work related to the theme posted in the current blog will be accepted.

Your submission should be ready for an in depth critique, which means you should have done all that you can do to make it presentable. Submissions to this group should be in revision stage, ready for solid critique that will help you improve the piece or future pieces.
For Literature this means proper spelling and grammar & a clear plot, theme, or message.
For Traditional and Digital Art this means the work is not a mere sketch but is well developed. WIPs will be accepted provided you make it clear what direction you'd like to take the piece so comments can help you in that direction.
For Photography this means your work is not merely a snapshot but has clear artistic merit behind it.

Your artist's comment must contain the group icon (
:icon critique-it:, minus the space) and at least 2 specific questions regarding what you feel are weak points in the piece. If these questions are missing or are unspecific, we will reject your piece.
Example of Artist's Comment:

1. How can I improve the shading?
2. Do you notice any issues with proportions?
Comments and Points Drawing

At the end of each submission period, we will hold a points drawing for those members who left constructive comments in our gallery. There are 50 points available and deviants may be entered multiple times each submission period. 2 deviants will receive 25 points each submission period.
Only comments that are linked to in the submissions blog will be considered for the points drawing.
Any deviant may comment on pieces in the gallery. You do NOT need to be a member to be eligible for the points drawing.

In order to be considered for the points drawings your comment must:
Contain at least one point of constructive criticism
Be polite and helpful
Contain the group's icon
Be linked to the weekly blog (FAQ #14: How do I create a link to a specific comment?)
Favorites

Our favorites folders are reserved for tutorials and guides about critique, art creation, and art revision.

Any deviant may submit to our favorites folders.

Please submit to the folder that best reflects what your guide or tutorial explains.

If your guide or tutorial doesn't fit a specific category, note the group and we will create one for it.

How can I request a critique under my works??
(and why I can't submit my pic?)
- What if you photograph and write or something like that?
- By theme do you mean specific themes like writing about something or theme as in literature, traditional, etc?
I mean whatever is stipulated in the weekly blog. Sometimes we will focus on one sort of photography or writing or other art. Other times it will be very specific, such as traditional fixed forms or black and white photography.
